About us
The Flame Brings It to Life.
The Flame Brings It to Life.
01
We choose quality beans and understand their unique character.
Every bean has its own unique aromas and flavors, shaped by its origin, variety, growing environment, and processing method.
That is why the first step in making great coffee at Blue Flame is choosing good beans.
Then, we seek to understand what makes each bean unique.
We are not trying to force a flavor into the coffee.
Our goal is to bring out the good flavors that are already within the bean.
02
We roast each coffee according to its individual characteristics.
Once we choose the right beans, the next step is roasting.
Even with the same coffee, the way it is roasted can change its aroma, sweetness, acidity, and body.
Drawing on years of experience, Blue Flame seeks the roast that best suits the characteristics of each bean.
Temperature and time matter, but just as important is the experience and intuition of someone who has spent years working with coffee.
We understand the heat.
We observe how the beans change.
And we continually taste and evaluate the results.
When technique and experience come together, the potential within good beans comes to life.
But Blue Flame coffee doesn't end with roasting.
03
We study water that can better express the flavors already within the coffee.
After selecting good beans and roasting them precisely, it is water that actually extracts the flavors and aromas from the coffee.
And water makes up most of what is in a cup of coffee.
That is why water matters to Blue Flame.
We don't stop at simply using clean water.
We ask a deeper question:
What kind of water can best express the good flavors of the beans we carefully select and roast?
That is a question we continue to explore.
To us, water is not simply an ingredient.
It is the final key that connects good beans and precise roasting to a better cup of coffee.
04
We find the point where the best flavors and aromas are expressed.
Everyone talks about the beans.
Everyone talks about the roast.
But after selecting good beans and roasting them precisely, it is water that actually extracts the flavors and aromas from the coffee.
That is why Blue Flame studies water.
